Yo_SEA GULL DAN3..............You show yourself to be a complete imbecile or you are in desperate need of psychological counseling.

Re: Show me any legitimate press release that says "RAMBUS will dominate the market for DRAM soon"-- I only believe legitimate press releases. I know of NO legitimate press realease that says RAMBUS is supposed to REPLACE...
I think you may have fallen for the Dataquest "press release"

You have taken two different replies and mixed them together:
First you said:You seem furious that anyone would question the notion that rambus will dominate the market for DRAM soon
I replied:"Show me any legitimate press release that says "RAMBUS will dominate the market for DRAM soon"-- I only believe legitimate press releases"

Your response:...he believes 60 percent of total DRAM shipments will be Rambus by 2002.
My response to you: Do you Consider 2002 as "SOON" ?

Second You said:The rambus long case (if I may try to sum it up - correct me if I am in error) in a nutshell, is; Rambus is faster than SDRAM and not much more expensive, and even if it isn't, Intel will force the market to use it anyway.
Part of my response to you was.....I know of NO legitimate press release that says RAMBUS is supposed to REPLACE all other types of memory either NOW OR IN THE FUTURE. If you have a legitimate company press release that states RAMBUS is supposed to replace all other memory types 100%, please post a link to the release.
Your response from above:he believes 60 percent of total DRAM shipments will be Rambus by 2002.
My response to you:Do you think that by mixing up my previous responses that you will be able to post more DAN3 SEA GULL CRAP and that people on this thread don't know the difference between 60% and 100% and that the year 2002 is soon?

You then go on to post another link that shows the stupidity of your own argument:Dataquest has just revised its Direct RDRAM forecast down slightly to a 5% DRAM market share this year, 20% next year, and 50% in 2001. and Analyst Sherry Garber puts the new chip's share at 1.7% this year, 8.6% next year, and 13.6% in 2001. She sees DDR-SDRAM parts growing even faster, gaining a 8.6% share this year, 16.8% next year, and 26.4% in 2001.
IN SUMMARY,SEA GULL DAN3-you have not provided ANYTHING that shows that RAMBUS will DOMINATE or garner 100% of the DRAM market soon!!

Your next point:I said;Intel CAN NOT and has NOT dictated or forced ANYTHING on ANY MARKET YET that I am aware of. It has always been the PUBLIC MARKET that decides the success or failure of ANY PRODUCT -an example of this would be the BETAMAX vs.VHS.
Your response:This one may have to go to court - let's just leave it at 14,257 people willing to sign a document that says that you're wrong and I'm right.

Athlon Motherboard Petiton- Jeff Tom 1:08 p.m. CST

Well, I guess I have to give this one to you SEA GULL DAN3: ANYONE who believes that this stupid petition is IRON CLAD EVIDENCE OF INTEL deciding and forcing the future of the PC memory standards on the PUBLIC MARKET PLACE certainly cannot be wrong in their wisdom!
and may I add that you really should seek professional help - and soon(before 2002)!

Your next point:you stated "Now PC133 has shipped before Rambus ,......."
My reply to you was:"This statement is wrong- NINTENDO was using RAMBUS as far back as 1996."

you now say:Nintendo didn't use DRDRAM, it used a different type of rambus not suitable for PCs - and you might note that Nintendo won't use any type of rambus in it's future game machines.
SEA GULL DAN3, I never said Nintendo used DRDRAM and how do you KNOW the type of RAMBUS DRAM used by Nintendo was not suitable for use in PC's - Was there a chipset produced to run the NINTENDO Rambus DRAM in PC's? If there was please post a legitimate, verifiable link to the press release.

SEA GULL DAN3, I will do as you suggest and note that nintendo won't use any type of RAMBUS in its future machines, and may I suggest that you take note that SONY WILL ONLY USE RAMBUS in ALL of their FUTURE PLAY-STATION II MACHINES because DDR was too "UNSTABLE". I would tell you that the PUBLIC MARKET PLACE will decide which machine will dominate the market share, but I am sure you will find someone with a petition to dispute that premise!

For your final point(Which ignores quite a few others in my original post that you conviently failed to answer here):You said.....and working, pre-production DDR chipsets from several vendors are being shown at Comdex by several vendors. Those tests that are available don't show an overwhelming benefit from any of the memory technologies.

My reply to you was:Please provide a legitimate press release that proves this statement-- otherwise this is just MORE DAN3 FUDD. And I still stand by what I originally said it's just more DAN3 FUDD. I read both the Micron and Viatech links and for the life of me I could not find where either of them said anything about about TEST that do not show any overwhelming benefit from ANY OF THE MEMORY TECHNOLOGIES, in fact I could not find any mention of RAMBUS or any other memory! The ONLY memory HYPED in both links was DDR! There was no bench marks of any sort for any type of memory test(incuding DDR) even shown on either site!

Let me close by saying you are truly a sick person in trying to carry out an agenda of RAMBUS DEFAMATION in all of your post since you have been on this thread. I would hope that you will see a psychiatrist as soon as posible, as the intelligent investors on this and other threads(INTEL thread, to mention one) are really sick and tired of your LIES, WORTHLESS OPINIONS, and SEA GULL CRAP POST.

Salude to all the "BUSSERS" and to DON GREEN:L R for a V L T!

NORMAN GO RAMBUSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
