AT, you probably could have a better opinion as to the significance to the mp3 aspect....my experience is very limited....all I know is that it is a compression format. I have ripped cd's and have mp3 files on my computer and use a number of players...however real player2 now is my primary media. writing, playing, recording music is one of my hobbies...but I have yet to find the need for a writeable CD drive. I have helped a musician friend with his... so my knowledge is very limited. I don't even know what AC3 is...is that the standard CD compression media or is it mp3? That's partly the reason I attend every year....but mainly to see what the next big trend is...and what companies are participating.... DSL was a big deal last year....this year I'm sure e-commerce, bandwidth....and anything internet will be in the spotlight. I won't be spending as much time attending this year but I will manage to get it all in....
