stephen Re <<if Intel wanted they could undercut AMD at all levels of microprocessors and in fact put them out of business.>>

For crying out load, stop posting this none sense. Intel is trying to compete with AMD the best they can and every one in their right mind would expect them to.

Now you say, they intentionally are trying to let AMD survive so they will not be hit with a lawsuit?

This is clear indication, for your lack of understanding of this whole monopoly subject, and the battle between INTC and AMD. What makes a monopoly illegal? Do you know?

Stephen,

Re:"You obviously lack a corpus callosum.....if Intel wanted they could undercut AMD at all levels of microprocessors and in fact put them out of business.....I guess you've never heard of a "lost leader "

Intel tried this trick with the Celerons.
They sure put rise, cyrix, winchip out of business.

Unfortunately AMD designed a better faster processor - the ATHLON.

And now Intel is fumbling and bumbling with its screwed up Coppermine intoduction. Introducing speed grades they cannot ship, with a motherboard that doesn't work and a new memory no-one can afford.

And your brilliant analysis is that Intel is screwing up left and right just to keep AMD alive.

SIMPLY BRILLIANT ANALYSIS.

Keep up the great work.
