Colin, I think the recent concern about Trader and taxes is in part related to the recent message that:

As a Trader one is exempt from Self-Employment

But even if one is NOT designated as a Trader, that person still does not pay Self-Employment tax on any capital gains whether short or long term.

So that comment had no import anyway.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
