-OT-

Hawaii Rainbow Warriors
1998: 0-12
1999: 7-3 and guaranteed a tie for the WAC title.

What a difference a good coach makes....we had the same players but added coach June Jones!

Puts? Good question but my 'instinct' says wait until the index breaks down a little before jumping in front of the speeding train. I would probably look for individual "over-extended" issues to buy puts on unless you are looking to lock in or hedge your current long position.

My strategy has been to move off margin to reduce risk and keep my hefty profits protected from huge moves. Watching the basket of specialty semis closely, I continue to find the action "very bullish". We've seen individual issues have temporary trouble BUT few have missed out on the latest run. Attempting to pick which stock will move on any given day is much more difficult then just holding onto these and riding out the volatility. We'll need a catalyst to slow this momentum down, IMO.

Going forward, I'm more cautious about new long positions. We'll have some fun tomorrow after the FOMC makes it's decision(s) on rates. 50 pts could reverse this bullish run pretty quickly and no move could really liven up the 'party'.

Above just some thoughts off the top of my head.

(PS, keep that Schlitz ice cold and count me in on the rig party action<g> Oil prices are up about 140% but most of the OS stocks I follow are up on average in the 80% range. I think there still some room for them to move north)
