The issue is with DSL vs. Cable. Cable data access is inherently less secure. Also, it is a shared line locally, so if one of your neighbors is busy downloading jpegs 24 hours a day it can affect your network performance. However, I would expect a lot of these issues to be worked out since this is the Long Distance carrier's ticket to providing voice access while avoiding the local carrier. DSL will ultimately be the local carrier's ticket to avoiding the long distance carrier.
