I2 is a kind of stealth b2b play... they are the leading supply chain vendor so their portal adds a little more to dynamic trading, procurement, etc. vs. something from verticalnet for example..

CSFB raised the target to $81 recently and of course its sitting right about there now which means it may stall a little... but I sure like the company, glad somebody else does too...

Thanks for the informative post, taxman. I don't know if it's already been posted before, but I'm so far behind on my posts I just couldn't tell you. <vbg>

Key thing to focus in on here is the following: i2 recently introduced TradeMatrix an eBusiness portal that allows buyers, sellers, designers and service providers to interact. For example, buyers can procure both direct and indirect material and services. The software is built on open standards, enabling almost any company to instantly share in the efficiencies of a joined network.

This is important since it effectively means they are providing the same service as ARBA and CMRC, yet have the added product capabilities for which they are widely regarded as a leader in the market of providing [i2 focuses on providing software products for supply chain management and related business process optimization applications. In other words, i2 helps companies run their business better. For instance, the Company's i2?s RHYTHM Strategic Planning solution enables executives and analysts to plan scenarios, set goals, and monitor the performance of the enterprise. i2's sales force is so confident in its software part of the license fees paid to i2 are based on economic returns and productivity savings actually earned by the client.]

Essentially, the more a corporate client can derive multiple synergies from sole source vendor, the better their value proposition when calling on potential customers. To me, ITWO provides the best all around solution in the Market, with the biggest potential impact to their customers bottom line.
