*For those of you not familiar with VARL's opteoelectric components, they basically allow the last mile to be completed by broadband wireless after converting from an optical signal (yes, it works both ways). Their patents in this area were beefed up last year and it looks like they are the leaders. Okay, now I'm beginning to understand. This explains why CMTO has entered the wireless broadband market: com21.com It'll be interesting to see if Oak Industries' price affects VARL. Pat
