SEOUL (Dow Jones)--Korea Telecom Freetel Co., a unit of state-run Korea Telecom Corp. (Q.KRT will venture into the Internet business with Microsoft and jointly develop the code division multiple access system and high-speed wireless data communications technology with Qualcomm.

Korea Telecom Freetel will also cooperate with Capital Communications in overseas projects.

Korea Telecom Freetel is a mobile phone service company.

Korea Telecom Freetel's capitalization will rise to 713.3 billion won ($1=KRW1,169) at the end of this year from KRW608.3 billion at the end of October.

Its debt-to-equity ratio will fall to around 210% from 1,000% at present.

Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette was the lead manager in the latest transaction, the company said.

Separately, the company said it plans to list its shares on the over-the-counter Kosdaq market by the end of this month.
