my pet peeve about the SI Email is it doesn't correspond to the 'InBox'

It has no relationship at all to the Inbox for stocktalk...

They should combine the two and/or rename the 'inbox' in stocktalk to something else. Or just axe the SI email idea.

Its similar to a company that forms a project to build a tunnel. The project is split into two teams and both teams start digging a tunnel under a mountain. Each team starts on opposite sides.
When they hit the middle, oops, one of the tunnels is 6 feet lower than the other. Worried that the endeavor will fail, the company decides to leave it like it is and installs a staircase between the two. Instead of having one rail line now there are two. Passengers get off of one train, take the stairs and board the other train. And to entice passengers to want to return, they put in a fast food restaurant off to the side of the stairs and put pretty pictures on the walls. The company figures what passenger can resist such features?

What the company failed to notice was that the passenger who was hoping to relax and now has to move all his/her luggage to the other train, would just instead fly next time.

What I find most annoying about the SI mail is it is completely separate from SI. Why should I have to log in to SI mail if I am already logged into SI?

Its a GUI design nightmare.

Plus When you setup your userid you can pick anything you want. Whats to keep someone from using your SI user id as their alias. there is nothing to prevent that.

This wasn't well thought out by SI. Its almost like they purchased this package and said hey another feature. But on this end it severely messes up the concept of the SI Inbox...
