Today's theme; LAGGARDS OEI RRC IIR UFAB - yes UFAB !?!?!

... RRC reports a strong turnaround; excellent cash flow, major debt restructuring and a forward hedging program that virtually guarantee's substantial fundamental upside to cfps & earnings going forward; yet - we get to by it today for the same prior selloff bottoms levels - prior to the earnings release; and on low volume... There has been times to buy RRC and times to sell RRC; this a time to BUY.

OEI - very balanced to crude & gas production. Dain Rauscher earlier this year; listed OEI as one of their "Best Ideas" with just 3 E&P's as being a savy play on E&P's who may sell off on the nat gas related softness; but yet are more highly leveraged to the still near record highs in Crude. OEI is THE play here imho... and their perhaps market cap peer group leading offshore drilling portfolio is perhaps unmatched - the time is now. Peter Lynch was no dummy in saying OEI was one of his fav's here. Their numbers today are vastly superior to when they were valued at $15 last fall and $12 of late; $8 is a 50% upside freebie - as the Street will most definitely catch up to OEI's numbers sooner, or later. See you at $10 for a 40%-50% margin leveraged upside and a leveraged "double" potentially in merely a return to $12... Analyst price targets from $14 to $18 here; and will be revised upwards sharply by Q1 2000 imho. The momenteum & Street sentiment "WILL" ultimately return to this subsector - buy them at the bottoms - just when their numbers are turning up so sharply - this is an anomaly buying opp that will not last long from here going forward/

UFAB - simply toooo cheap. The Institutions will back & fill the small caps here soon on any move of the OSX to 85-90 levels; the UFAB's & IIR's with strong balance sheets will not be at these levels for long...

Do you want to add SII here at $41, or ESV at $22, or the laggards at their bottoms ? The time to buy the Mo-Mo leaders was directly into these selloffs like we just saw; the time to buy the laggards is on these rally's where they are still at their individual bottoms; using some of the profit currency from the mo-mo leaders - no need to close out entire positions in the high flyers - just trim a bit & rotate profits to laggards.

.... PS - is that MDR up 7.5 % today on 2 million + shares allready (VBG) ? damn; maybe this falling knive will turn into a whammo super ball... ? It aint over till its over...
