Michelle-

Well I just ordered a bunch of electronics from amzn and noticed their hotlist contains a bunch of gift-type items. I'm convinced they are moving a ton of electronics this xmas - no competition there, they will dominate electronics it looks like. So the only real risk for profitability is too rapid expansion.

Las Friday I received a VCR I ordered from Amazon.com. Great service as expected. One thing I noticed is that their return policy appears not to include pickup at my home, but rather gives an address where the item should be shipped (I don't expect to be returning this VCR).

The other question I have is where else on the web would one go to buy a VCR? I know there are a thousand possible places, but which one would you expect to have very good service and competitive prices? I just don't know of any which stand out as superior to Amazon. I was surprised that Amazon appears to have decent prices. Shipping was $9.00, which is certainly not a gouging price either.

Randy

Liz,

Gross margins are thinnest in electronics.
