Would have to agree with your ideas for the rest of the season, unless the Gaints keep playing like they did yesterday it should just about shake out that way.

Another hit to the offense......Emmitt will return next week but Allen will be out now for two weeks:

Irvin won't return in 1999; guard Allen out at least two weeks
Updated 4:29 PM ET November 15, 1999

While the Cowboys likely will play at least the balance of the '99 season without Irvin, it now appears tailback Emmitt Smith will be back in the lineup for next week's game at Arizona.

The third-leading rusher in league history, Smith fractured his right hand in the Cowboys' loss at Minnesota on Nov. 8. But Smith, who has never missed consecutive games because of injury, will heavily pad the hand for practices this week and expects to play Sunday.

If he does play, Smith will run behind a line without All-Pro left guard Larry Allen. Arguably the league's most dominating interior blocker this season, Allen will miss at least two weeks because of a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee. Allen suffered the injury in the third quarter Sunday when Green Bay defensive tackle Gilbert Brown rolled up his leg from behind.
