Entirely OT

I read Ed Abbey this summer while in Santa Fe. What an incredible evocation of the southwest, altho he's definitely a curmudgeon about national parks!

Would much rather be reading Abbey than Margulis right now--it's getting to be tough going with all these centrioles kinetosomes meiosis mitosis archae protoctis undilopodia symbiosis eukaryotes etc. Hard to keep it all in my head!
