======================================================================
Carlson Companies First Customer of Integrated Technology That Delivers
Greater Functionality

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Net Perceptions Inc.
(NASDAQ:NETP), today announced that the company would collaborate with
BroadVision Inc. (NASDAQ:BVSN) to deliver an integrated e-commerce
personalization solution. Carlson Companies Inc., parent company of Radisson
Hotels, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and other hospitality, travel and marketing
services, is the first customer to benefit from the new partnership.
The partnership between Net Perceptions, the leading supplier of realtime
personalization solutions, and BroadVision enables the delivery of a robust
and integrated e-commerce solution to Carlson, and marks an expanded strategic
initiative for both Net Perceptions and BroadVision. The announcement was
reinforced by remarks made by the three companies at the Personalization
Summit in San Francisco, Nov. 15-16.
"We believe the targeting capabilities offered by the partnership between
Net Perceptions and BroadVision enable a new frontier of personalized services
for consumers both online and off," said Murad Velani, executive vice
president and COO of eCommerce for Carlson Companies. "This combination of
'best in class' technologies offered us the most refined e-commerce
functionality available toward enhancing the customer experience and
strengthening those relationships."
Carlson Companies expects to launch a strategic Web business next year
utilizing the combined intelligence of collaborative filtering and
personalization technologies made possible through this partnership.
"We believe that the integration of the Net Perceptions Recommendation
Engine to our platform gives our customers a significant competitive
advantage," said Dr. Pehong Chen, president and CEO of BroadVision. "Many of
our customers have been asking for this technology, and we anticipate that in
the future many more will be asking for it as well. The functionality offered
by the Net Perceptions Recommendation Engine now and in future versions will
enhance the e-commerce solutions for our shared customers."
Carlson selected BroadVision as its e-commerce platform due to
BroadVision's integrated solution that allows deployment of robust and
scaleable e-commerce applications. Because of the power of realtime
personalization and quick-to-market implementation, Carlson chose Net
Perceptions to extend BroadVision's personalization capabilities.
"We are very excited to further solidify our strategic relationship with
BroadVision," said Steven Snyder, president and CEO of Net Perceptions. "The
integration of our realtime recommendation engine with BroadVision's platform
allows customers to take advantage of our technology in their applications,
thereby enabling them to deliver significantly expanded functionality to each
of their users. Given BroadVision's existing customer base of over 400 users
and its increasing growth rate, it's natural to see how this will expand the
customer base for our products."
