FYI - Corning accounts for approx. 8% of SDL sales. No risk to short term as SDL has contracts well into next year and Corning needs the product. Lasertron is just now ramping their standalone 980s, so the phase-in will be slow. But make no doubt, it will happen.

Regarding a prior post's assertion that SDLI is on JDSU's hit list - this is highly doubtful. First of all, SDLI is primarily an active component maker, not passive. Second, JDSU doesn't need anything SDLI sells except for their 980 technology. Even there, JDSU is #1 in the mkt and SDLI #2. While it would great from market dominance standpoint (especially with how hot the pump business is), I expect JDSU is more interested in expanding their product set, not increasing an existing line. But in this space, who knows.
