nokomis,

I am asking you for your daughters hand in marriage.
As a dowry I can offer MANY shares of a great company called Jacada.

Just think, she could be Mrs. Stress.

Our High Flying and/or Fundamentally Strong Stocks: Fast Forward..and Full Speed Ahead but with a Short Pit Stop for Refueling...

About 1 year ago one of my favorite short term trading strategies was trading strong stocks off bounces of the their 7 day moving average. I've notice more and more frequently that strong stocks don't get as far below the 7 day moving average. The bounce back even more quickly. What I notice is that we usually a little bull flag formation which lasts from 3 to 4 trading sessions. If you look carefully at the structure of the bull flag it will resemble a short handle (as from cup and handle formation) but more than likely it will look more like a step down into a ledge or terrace formation (the I day consolidation after the initial 1 or 2 days of lower lows forming the bull flag)..

It is this third or fourth day when you might have another down day but the bar might resemble a range contraction inside bar, or just have a lower low than the previous bare. But the next day will probably be a continuation of the uptrend. You might easily expect a range expansion bar (i.e. today's chart of GOTO, JNIC, or POWI)signifying the continuation of the uptrend.

That's why it is so important to have indicators that are trend setting indicators (ADX directional, Mass Index, and perhaps an oscillator for checking overbought/oversold situations.

What you should have noticed in the chart of TTIL or other charts we have worked with is that the ADX or Mass Index will NOT NECESSARILY FALL AT ALL and still be well over 25 or even 30 during the very short correction, the +DX might actually be rising. Or the r-squared might be high indicating the 'trendiness' of the uptrend. As long as you have a very strong hi flying stock you can use very short period strategies for re-entering long positions.

7 days is now too long and I'm working with 3 or 4 days before the uptrend continues and usually leading to even higher highs. When I'm completed testing the results with some 20 or 30 watch list and newsletter stocks I'll have the strategies and test printed.
