No news that I know of. The company stated it will happen in early 2000. The S-1 filing seems to be imminent, but it has been like that for some days now. There has been some speculation that the delay is due to takeover talks.

My own opinion is that too much is happening in terms of deals with the Palm OS (for example, the Sony deal), that are very material to the risks in the IPO, so the S-1 must be under constant revision. A key part of any S-1 is disclosure of potential risks. In Palm's case a key risk is the threat from Windows CE, and the threat from Japanese consumer electronics companies. There are two huge developments lately that have drastically changed the risk profile of the IPO for the better and that they could not have been included if the S-1 had been filed a couple of weeks ago: the Microsoft ruling, and the Sony deal (which may have been precipitated because of the MSFT ruling).
