I'm interested in position and day trading, but not in the split second 1/8 point type of day trading that required real time trading tools, etc.

I am interested in position trading. I can't be at the PC all day. I like investing in a good company with take-over possibilities and I don't mind holding awhile. IMO just like communication/networking companies are consolidating so will the Internet Stock Trading Companies -TWE, AMTD, SCH, EGRP, NITE

I'd like to do some daytrading but my schedule won't allow for it. Position trading...in and out in a few days to a few weeks would be great!

I am interested mostly in position trading but will do a little daytrading. I have to be gone sometimes during the day. Got into SAPE today, only 100, at 80 3/8. If it goes down tomorrow, I will get another 100. Remember your lesson to us small time folks a while back, to make a few hundred at a time and build up our capital. I've seen too many times with SAPE where I could have made a few hundred so I got in today when you suggested it. Thanks.

Carolyn

Tim,

I would prefer postion trading. 1-3 days would be best. I am sure that I am like many others on this thread who watch the tape while at work and can place limit orders when I get a chance. To do daytrading, I would need to have access all day long ( and that would be my new full time job, maybe not a bad idea (VBG). I still enjoy my "regular" job.

That's all I do now until the new year (except for CS of course).

Tim, if we are going to day-trade, will you call shorts as well?

Jim

Living off day trades can be pretty tough. You are required to live in front of the screen all day. Shorter term position trades don't glue you to the screen.

Tim - Position and day trading are my goal -- Tying up capital impractical for me, as I've started to depend on trading for a good portion of my income. I've been freelancing for many long years, so I'm used to the lack of certainty and really enjoy following the market. Have been humbled by my mistakes. Am becoming more focused and careful (and am studying). Being part of this thread is a great experience -- also waiting to unload (at the right time) CS, NN and VDIM (do you still have this one?)

Looking forward to the next phase for this thread, mare
