Most of us are MSFT consumers and/or stockholders, whereas only a tiny fraction are MSFT competitors. In the role of stockholder we would benefit if MSFT was robbing banks as a sideline. And I predict we would hear howls of protest if the DOJ ordered MSFT to stop knocking over banks, since our software worked fine and we were getting rich off our MSFT shares.
