tell him to look again at the back of the preamp; virtually all of them have 2 pair of preouts, but i don't know about his adcom specifically. if not, monster amongst others makes a nice single male to dual female RCA adaptor that would plug right in to the back of the preamp and allow him to patch to the stereo amp and the sub.
