I don't believe the article was a coincidence at all; it's pure collusion, but just try to prove it. I think the connected short parties knew of its release in advance and thought it would contain the price which walked along for 3 hours in the 6 7/8 to 7 area. In the last half hour the shorts decided that wasn't going happen and they threw in the towel, for today. If the follow up articles are also on Valence and are quite uncomplimentary, then they may feel there's still a chance to continue their campaign. We'll see.
