Qcom: back in July or June when they were added to
the S&P 500, Lehman Bros. and Goldman Sachs bought
7million shares in a direct offering at the then-rate
of $156. These were to be sold out to funds that needed
qcom shares in order to follow the index. -- huh ? -- I thought they would just buy in open market - but if not,
how long a period before the stock held by the two brokerages gets sold out?
