For what it's worth, I don't think it was you who set JLA off today, I am fairly sure it was me, and maybe Pezz. Friday, he posted something to Pezz about not casting his pearls before swine, and I made a snide comment about his pearls, or the lack thereof, which was kind of mean, but I thought it was too funny to pass up. I suspect it just rankled over the weekend, because as soon as he logged on, he started posting one-liners that were designed to get a hostile reaction, and the whole thread went downhill for the day. I also don't think that you are the only one that sets him off. I took the time to read some of the Sanity thread, there are a lot of people who post there that he fights with constantly, but I've never really read the thread before, and I assume X doesn't, either. I thought that your argument with him about Apple and Xerox PARC was very interesting, and informative, I was especially interested in your posts, and Edwarda's, so it's not all bad, IMO.

I thought JLA followed you- but I could not remember- so in the interest of diplomacy I said it the way I said it. HOWEVER it happened you both showed up on feelies about the same time and the fireworks commenced. It does not really matter to me WHO started it or WHY you do it- although I am pretty sure both of you feel that you are the aggrieved party. It would take Solomon to sort it out, and maybe not even he could get to the bottom of it. For what it is worth I think the sheer bulk of JLA's insulting, insinuating and unpleasant posts is far greater than yours on this thread- but I have neither the time nor the inclination to find out what either of you get up to elsewhere and I did not want to make a blanket statement about the behavior of either of you that might not be true. I know only what I see here. I did not think the matter of "deservedness" entered into it. I do see that lots of history- (unpleasant history) seems to insert itself into the posts you and JLA fling back and forth. Sort of a bilious He said, She said. I don't like it- but it isn't personal. I read all your other posts with pleasure (usually, I think) and that one post by JLA about the leaves and the firewood was readable too.
