Statistics from PC Data Rank BigStar As The Only Filmed
Entertainment Site In List Of Top 20 E-commerce Sites

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 1999--For the third month in a row, BigStar Entertainment's (Nasdaq:BGST
- news) position as the number one online retailer of movies in the U.S has been confirmed in figures released by PC Data,
which tracks Web purchasing among U.S. households.

In PC Data's October ranking, BigStar ranked 17 among all online retailers, with 1.4 million unique users and a buy rate of 6.2
percent. BigStar was the only filmed entertainment site in the Top 20 that is exclusively dedicated to filmed entertainment
products (More information can be found at www.pcdataonline.com).

David Friedensohn, CEO of BigStar said: ''We believe that our number one position is a result of the special affinity our
customers have for our site because of our high level of customer service, content and great values.''

The newly published statistics from PC Data confirm BigStar's lead over time. For August, September and October, BigStar
has consistently been the number one filmed entertainment site in terms of purchases among US households.

According to a recent survey by Ernst & Young, online shoppers in the 1999 holiday shopping season are projected to triple
those of last year, with videos among the top five categories purchased.

BigStar is ready to serve the projected increase in customers. ''With special holiday bargains and over 34,000 videos and
DVDs to choose from, bigstar.com provides a welcome environment for practiced and new online video shoppers,''
Friedensohn said.
