Colleen, I think he just forgot to put a smiley face at the end of his post. It is true, though, that a lot of city slickers looking at a horse's size, in person, do not perceive the height and weight of a normal horse. If you tell them that height is measured in "hands" the confusion mounts, and it is hard to believe that the normal horse can weigh from 1,000 to 1500 lbs. easily. So much of their make up is solid muscle mass that it is a bit deceiving
