My take on Transmenta is that it's a non starter relative to all the hype that's been paid it. There seems to be a pretty wide sense of apathy in the community regarding this 'secret project' thing and 'Linus Torvalds' involvement. Most people are pretty tired of hearing about it. Whatever they're doing, it was a tease that was taken too far.

If Transmeta has a project involving WinCE, it's a case of horrible timing. WinCE has spun out and crashed already.
