Kaye, there is a difference between an occasional honest misstatement or typo and in gross [you fill in the word]. I think it is better to avoid these people completely, rather than becoming an enabler by doing their tax research for them on a shotgun basis.

This was not an isolated case (I find them constantly). And if you'll recall from our old Prodigy days, even a little nudge in the right direction to a self-proclaimed expert who misstated the law completely bass ackwards can cause violent reactions. (BTW yes, I have written before to these sites and e-mail distribution lists and find they have no interest in correcting anything. They want to make new content for more TRAFFIC, not to spend time correcting old web pages)

So, nah, I'm not an enabler, I'll just refer people to the fairmark site for the correct information.
