Jim, Re: Sorry, don't know yet.

Now I understand why you didn't switch. You are still not
quite sure if AMD can make a profit in Q12000 even after Jerry's upbeat conference call which painted such a rosy picture, not to mention before that.

Jim,>>>Sorry, don't know yet. <<<

Okay then, what is the best case scenario for AMD?

Here is my take (best case scenario for AMD):

1. They sell out next 4Qs.
2. They sell 20M MPUs.
3. They sell for top dollar $200 ASP.
4. They generate $4B in MPU sales.
5. Business environment is terrific.
6. AMD generates $2B in other sales (flash,et al)
7. AMD achieves 25% net profits ($1.5B).
8. Sanders wows Osha at a breakfast meeting.
9. Osha comes out with an Urgent Buy recommendation.
10. Stock goes to over $100.
11. Sanders exercises all options and cashes in.
12. Sanders retires.
13. No one is left to manage the company:
   a. Raza, President, COO, resigned
b. Burkett, CFO, resigned
c. Favor,Chief MicroProcessor Road Map Architect, resigned
d. Keller, Chief K8 Chip architect, resigned
e. Saltrich, Chief designer, architect, and Plant Manager (Dresden), resigned
f. Dham, Key Technical Officer, resigned

14. McMannis sells long position (claimed at 99 7/8) and goes short big time.

15. Osha resignes from ML (claimed he was mislead by a silver tongued and silver haired wealthy retiree).

I can't see it any better than that for AMD <gggggg>.

Regards,

Mary
