The awards presentation was part of ALTS' Annual Business Conference currently under way in Palm Springs, Calif. ``Since inception, our business plan has centered on delivering a full range of technology and communications solutions to the small- and medium-sized business market that start inside the customer's premises and are based on business outcomes,' said John R. Evans, chairman and chief executive officer of Convergent Communications. ``It is indeed gratifying to receive this level of independent validation and recognition from ALTS and X-Change magazine.' Inside the customer's premises (or ``enterprise network'), Convergent Communications owns, installs, manages and is responsible for essential communications systems and networks, such as local area networks, desktop computers, telephone handsets, PBXs, servers, hubs and routers.
