True, True, and Unrelated.

The notion that no company is worth holding for more than two years is ludicrous. If one had purchased MSFT in 1989 and sold in 1991 with this strategy, would one be happy now? AOL bought in 1995 and sold in 1997? QCOM bought in 1997 and sold last spring? This, of course, has nothing to do with whether or not these companies can continue their exponential rise. It's just that the two year time frame is completely arbitrary and simply wrong.

GV, You are correct in that there are no guarantees. CSCO and MSFT do provide as solid a vehicle as any to achieve this. I think that I would be looking at some of the smaller guys (BRCM, AOL, SUNW and according to Jubak this week, DELL for larger % movers over the next couple of years). There are too many internet stocks to mention. the right ones will make investors millions through a staunch buy and hold investment strategy. To date, my personal strategy is buy and sell with only LU as a core. That will change as I get older and wiser. Good luck, Brian
