COMDEX Fall 99

--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Motorola Digital DNA Biometrics Products to be Demonstrated

The next generation of fingerprint-based security solutions will be announced by Motorola (NYSE: MOT) and Identix Incorporated (AMEX: IDX) at Comdex on Tuesday, Nov. 16, in Las Vegas. Motorola and Identix executives will unveil the first products from their May 1999 alliance
to establish a new industry standard in fingerprint identification for e-commerce, PC, wireless communications and financial services markets.

Motorola and Identix plan to name two customer agreements with major IT companies, which will also participate in the press conference and display their respective product implementations.

Motorola and Identix executives will host the press event, complete with a banquet breakfast, in Ballroom 116 of the Conference Center at the Riviera Hotel located across from the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Private demonstrations and executive interviews will be available in the ballroom on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The two companies announced the alliance last May to jointly develop biometric security solutions for authenticating user identities, enabling consumers to access computer networks, programs and information with a mere fingerprint instead of a traditional PIN or password.
