I didn't say it was ending- I said it may have already peaked. Some evidence of that- I just read in yesterday's paper that over 50% of U.S. Adults now use the internet. So, if the 'information age' took over in say 1960, and is peaking now, then we may have another 40 years before it is fully replaced.

The information society will no doubt be replaced by something more advanced, just as it replaced the industrial society. If you figure out what that will be, please let us know. <g>

Indeed this is true, but in 1929 most people did not have a radio, had not flown on an airplane let alone conceived of jet planes or high speed trains. And yet, the potential still reached a temporary peak in the facination of those technologies and they couldn't continue to expect ever increasing risk based market caps.
