Franq, you are not well... the secret to Greenspan's genius in the last five years has been his humility as he bows to the bond market

he has not yet countermanded the bond market, but rather obediently and humbly allowed that mighty mighty market force to dictate his monetary policy... if the shortend bond yield rises, the Fed raises rates... if the shortend bond yield drops, the Fed lowers rates... not the stuff of genius, is it?

the shortend bond market has raised rates only very slightly in the last six weeks, even as it lowered rates for the 30yr long bond

I say he will hold his weapon over the market's head, talk tough, realize that higher rates have slowed the economy somewhat, and DO NOTHING

by the way, I am 12 for 12 in guessing the last many FOMC decisions... I hope this one is no different... it aint guesswork though, just read the bond market... that is why I read the bond market... it leads not only the Federal Reserve, but the stock market

the bond market is an extremely important market that any stock investor is a fool to ignore
