Yes, my friend Gene came over yesterday around 6 p.m. and slaved with me. We more than filled a large trash can, which is now sitting right in front of the door. What could be salvaged, we did. He was appalled. He offered the suggestion that this cold has been exacerbated by the debris, since he was having some problems himself before we were finished. I took him out to dinner at the local pub afterward, where we bumped into a local artist, also a very dear friend--the one who was on the Vineyard for the quiet to work when JFK Jr.'s plane went down--who is having his first show in a long time on Friday. It looks as though Gene is going to the show. Poor boy, every time he turns around, I am dragging him into "culcha"--a wine tasting group, experimental theater, now this! LOL!
