Once again, if you are dealing with a known idiot, click on the "Ignore this Person" link. Then you'll never have to read the idiots posts or replies to them again. I use it and I am a much happier person.

John:
Agreed.
I have firmly come to believe in last 24 hours that the reason that all computers containing RDRAM have been held back until DEC 15 since the problem fix was announced in late OCT is the need for RDRAM to be available in continual supply.
Samsung and Toshiba are either producing RIGHT NOW or giving Rambus lip service at their COMDEX booth. I think not.

John,

Good post.

For everyone suggesting that we just use the "Ignore this person" button, consider that as this thread degenerates in quality, you can use that button more and more until finally you can just remove the bookmark as John has suggested happened to the CSCO thread. Instead, it would be better to try to maintain the quality of the thread, reminding people when appropriate that the quality is starting to suffer. I'd much rather see the offenders stop what they're doing rather than just keep ignoring more and more people. One of the ways we get new people with new ideas involved is by having a high-quality discussion that encourages them to join and share ideas. Why would someone want to join if they believe that they're going to be ridiculed regardless of the stance they take? I sure wouldn't.
