In the prospectus, they are said to hold it in order
to sell to index funds, i.e. when a fund needs to purchase for the S&P basket they can throw some in from inventory
and charge the market close price, rather than get it from
the market float. I think they would still have the
inventory now and are very happy to hold it while funds buy
into the market. qcom is beyond upgrades anymore, it has acheived a higher level of existence.

If going short didn't have the inherent penalties I'd try it again (maybe not on qcom, although your emlx is looking good).
