Binx,

Don't you feel sad for Microsoft?

Win CE stands either for "Windows Compact Edition" or possibly "Windows Consumer Electronics". Microsoft has big plans for Win CE no matter how you interpret the abbreviation.

I do believe that the Palm OS and the OS being supported by the Symbian venture will give Microsoft a run for the money. Either way flash memory will be central to any device designed to store more than a modest amount of data.

I am thankful for WinCE because of the support extended to the CF camp. I hope that Psion and Palm Computing are thoughtful in their consideration of a removable storage medium.

In a year or two I hope that the Toshiba/SanDisk JV is supplying raw chipsets to Sony.

Binx and All Thread Members,

Who currently manufactures the chipsets for Sony Memory Stick?

Does the Memory Stick allow for disc drive emulation?

Does Memory Stick incorporate SanDisk technology?

Why haven't we sought answers to these questions?
