Regarding the Amazon ad: I think it's probably the best TV Internet ad I've seen.

Why? Because it does exactly what Amazon should be doing: Making Amazon seem warm and fuzzy and easy and safe to older Americans.

They don't need to convince people in their 20's and 30's -- even 40's to shop at Amazon. They need more 50+ shoppers; many of whom are on the net (and more all the time) but the group with, I'd guess, the most adversion to shopping on line.

I think it's truly masterful; although I'd quibble with the release that called it "70's"...felt more 60's to me...Lawrence Welk and all that.

I haven't owned the stock for 11 months, but remain a loyal customer...and man can those folks execute...whew!
