It's hard to believe Pat is motivated by money in this campaign. He could surely earn a comfortable living somewhere. He sees America selling out her sovereignty and nobody is doing anything about it. He sees himself as the guy who can save the country from the pernicious New World Order. Maybe he's getting messianic, maybe it's just a swelled head, or maybe he loves his country, but it ain't money that's driving him. If you want to get a feel for who the estates general of the Buchanan campaign are, pick up a copy of Chronicles magazine sometime. The editors of that excellent paleoconservative rag are his braintrust.
