I listened to the call for Gilat yesterday. You can access their web site and see the slides and hear the call(I think) at gilat.com . Lots of holes in their plan. No discussion of the space segment. Capacity claims that I believe are unfounded. As to including Loral, one has to wonder if the GE-backed Gilat would work with Loral or not. I have my doubts. Gilat's claim that they are "the only company in the world that has the technology for the two-way transmission of data by satellite" and "adding that Gilat's only competitor, the American Hughes Network Systems, is behind it technologically" is a total crock. I would go as far as saying that Gilat is light years behind ViaSat in this field, and they best keep an eye on the competition.
