Of course its in PC s/w. If your running win 95 it needs a patch to be compliant, COMPAQ said my bios has to be changed or develop a work around and Word, Excel, etc need patches.

You would likely be entering the processing dates by means of a date card. (just like it was done before mainframe computers had built in clock/calendar functions)

With a date card, you had 80 columns in which to specify one or more dates in whatever format you wanted without dropping the century digits.
