I think the big price increase is a sympathy play for the Fr,. IPO of CFLO. I am hoping my position in XLA will also fly. Probably, AKAM will take off too. Susan

Some recent news from the Sandpiper web site: SANDPIPER NETWORKS ADDS TEN LEADING WEB SITES TO GROWING CUSTOMER LIST

Activision, AdForce, Astound, CallWave, Earthlink, eCampus, Gamesville, PBS, SCO and Value America, validate Footprint 2.0 as the industry's premiere content delivery platform

THOUSAND OAKS, CALIFORNIA - November 16, 1999 - Sandpiper Networks, Inc., the leading provider of comprehensive content delivery solutions for e-business, today announced that Activision, AdForce, Astound, CallWave, Earthlink, eCampus, Gamesville, PBS, SCO and Value America have selected Sandpiper Networks for enhanced speed and reliability of Internet content. This announcement confirms Sandpiper's commitment to improving web site performance for e-business and that Sandpiper's award-winning content delivery network, FootprintSM 2.0, is the delivery platform of choice for today's leading web sites.

As the most comprehensive content delivery solution available today, Sandpiper's Footprint service supports the delivery of all media types, including dynamic content, streaming media, and authenticated content. Large download files, streaming media files, e-commerce transactions and dynamic content can often slow down a web site's performance, especially during heavy traffic. Sandpiper has built the world's first and largest content delivery network (CDN) so that online information is delivered closer to the end user, avoiding network congestion and outages.

"Our customers are truly our partners and as such we ensure the highest levels of performance and reliability for these leading Internet companies," said Leo Spiegel, president and CEO of Sandpiper Networks. "Sandpiper is focused on continuing to pioneer the market for Internet content delivery services, and establishing content delivery networks as a critical piece of the Internet infrastructure. These companies add tremendous validation that Sandpiper's technical innovations and content delivery platform offers real-world benefits to today's e-businesses."

Launched last year, the Footprint CDN speeds web site performance up to 10 times by distributing content from a worldwide network of servers, putting web content closer to the consumer and shortening the delivery path. The Footprint network will have more than 1200 servers worldwide by year-end. Sandpiper has deployed Footprint servers in more than 20 networks worldwide, including America Online, Concentric Networks, Uunet, GTE BBN, Sprint, Cable and Wireless, PSINet, Frontier/Globalcenter, and TCG/Cerfnet.
