at their own game. I think that this is not a run-up into the holidays. I think that this is a last hurrah for a once good trading stock... but the good percentage gains are a thing of the past... there are other momentum plays out there now, ARBA is one of them. WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 1999--Lycos, Inc. (NASDAQ:LCOS), the fastest growing Internet portal and the world's largest online community, today announced that its popular search site HotBot (www.hotbot.com) has been named best search engine for 1999 by both "PC Computing" and "U.S. News & World Report." HotBot has been widely acknowledged as the Web's best search site by 18 independent reviews from top publications since its debut in 1996, and this week's recognition further establishes its leadership position.

"U.S. News & World Report" selected HotBot over competitors such as Yahoo, Excite, and Northern Light in the search engine category.
