AMEN this is the true Gospel. GOD SAVES !

He is the GOOD SHEPHERD the PERFECT SHEPHERD...

He will lose none of His sheep.

God Is HOLY and PERFECT.

He can not lower that standard and still be HOLY !

People can not get to heaven for being basically good !

They must be HOLY as HE is HOLY as it is written:

1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

No man except Jesus has or ever will attain to this standard !

We can only be Holy as He is HOLY by the imputed Gift os Holiness by God.

JESUS ALONE earned the ability and right to impute Holiness by suffering the penalty for SIN when He had committed none.. even the death and the shame of the cross as it is written:

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus owes this Holiness to NONE ! It is HIS to Give as a Gift !

He therefore will give it to whosoever He chooses !

As it is written:

Matthew 20:15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son chooses to reveal him.

James,

"God demands perfection."

Yet he made us in such a way that he knew we would be "utterly depraved"? And then if we don't achieve perfection(or salvation) he will torture us for eternity, even if we spend our lives loving and doing good deeds, despite the fact that we are the way he made us?

Again, I ask you, does that make any sense whatsoever?

Think of it this way...

1. God demands perfection
2. God makes us imperfect
3. for being imperfect(the way he made us) and not achieving perfection
4. he tortures your soul for eternity (an imperfect response on his part)
