Scott was at the top of his game. Talked about the SUNW golf tournament, for which he was acting as a caddy, to be broadcast on Thanksgiving day. Then the topic switched to end of the PC era and he said "people still ride horses even though we have cars, garden even though there are supermarkets." So of course there will continue to be PC's. But that the PC will be a hobby not a productivity tool.

Topic switched to MSFT antitrust hearing and his response to the question was he surprised by the Judge's ruling was, "DUH." (Laughter here from both parties) Scott said it was obvious to anyone involved in the industry that MSFT was a monopoly. Was he shocked by the Judge's tone, to which he responded, "I though he was gentle." This took the reporter off guard and they both laughed through the reporter checking that he understood Scott's POV. Then on to what remedy to settle the case and Scott said he was not advocating anything but that MSFT had to be brought under "market control." That clearly MSFT is not chastened by what has happened with a continuation of attempting to dominate new markets. He said we are in a time of thoughtful contemplation on how best to resolve the antitrust case to the benefit of everyone.

Scott did a great job and on top of a great day for the stock it couldn't have been better timing. I will know SUNW has it made when there are no longer any questions about MSFT. SUNW has some many great things going for it there is no longer any need to "rattle sabers."
