Terry, the Ms are reported in the news and most economic services keep running tabs, so they are easy. With credit, you have to choose a few large players and watch how their loans are increasing relative to their capital base. I usually look at Citi, Chase, Freddie and Fannie as my sample group. The hard part is getting derivatives into the mix, as they are the main players, and for that, I have to rely on services including Richebacher, The Bank Credit Analyst and, from time to time, Northern Trust.
