I also use Datek and I too think they are reasonably reliable. I can watch my order appear on ISLD often faster than I get response back from order placement. On ISLD I get very good execution. Much superior to brokers who place order with marketrmakers. That's one reason, among many, I just cancelled my Webstreet account. If you are concerned about Datek's ordering process, try this utility to speed up the ability to place an order. I use it and find it does speed up the ability to place orders.
