Either settle or languish in the 80's & 90's range.<<

Well I am for settling the case also but at what price to the shareholders? How much extortion money should we give up??
Now you tell me honestly if you are a shareholder of Microsoft? Next we are but a small number of people on the internet and our comments don't really matter that much but I suspect that every and I mean millions of Microsoft shareholder will make theirs voices heard at the next presidential election. When the Republicans take hold of the government you will see the stock of Microsoft rally like nothing you ever saw in your life and it will not be done under bullying pressure from the DOJ. Microsoft does not have to be intimidated or pressured by anybody.

"settle or languish"

unless the other side isn't making any concessions and thus no benefit to settlement.

Either settle or languish in the 80's & 90's range.

What is the right thing to do? If Microsoft has done something wrong, the right thing to do would be to come clean, accept the punishment, and mend its ways. If Microsoft has NOT done anything wrong, the right thing to do would be to defend itself -- even until bankrupt. Share price has nothing to do with right and wrong: It just reflects the market's perception at the moment.

Cheers, PW.
