SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 22, 1999-- 3Com Corporation
(Nasdaq: COMS - news) today announced the sale of its manufacturing
operations in Salt Lake City, Utah to Manufacturers' Services Ltd.
The agreement includes 3Com's manufacturing operations and staff who
produce Palm(TM) handheld computers, as well as 3Com's mobile
connectivity products. Manufacturers' Services will retain all of
3Com's 550 employees affiliated with the Salt Lake City manufacturing
facility and continue to manufacture these products for 3Com.
The transfer is expected to be effective on November 27, 1999.
